Ia
orana Partners!
We
are very pleased to be sending out a Special
Edition of Tahiti Tourisme North America’s
Partner Update. Our Tahiti Tourisme teams are
just returning from Tahiti Nonstop Week in Manhattan,
New York, and it truly was nonstop!
On
Wednesday, April 27, Air Tahiti Nui and Tahiti
Tourisme teams from Tahiti and North America
held a “Passport to Tahiti” breakfast
seminar for Travel Agents and the Tahiti Industry
Partners.
The
event was held at the Grand Hyatt which is centrally
located near Grand Central Station and across
the street from our joint New York office on
42nd St. and Lexington Ave. We are extremely
proud to announce that we had over 500 Travel
Agents in attendance for the morning’s
tradeshow and breakfast!
Beginning
at 6:30 AM agents were lining up to get checked-in
for the event by 7:30 AM. Soon after the doors
opened, the ATN and TT teams checked in all
attendees in record time. For one hour, agents
had the opportunity to meet in a tradeshow setting
with many partners including hoteliers, cruise
companies, excursion / activity companies, DMC’s
and more.
Speeches
were made to the group by French Polynesia President
Oscar Temaru, Tahiti Tourisme Chief Executive
Dany Panero, and Air Tahiti Nui Chief Operating
Officer Nelson Levy. Many of the Partners in
attendance also had the opportunity to address
the group and introduce themselves.
The
agents in attendance were very impressed with
the function, Tahiti Tourisme North America
received many phone calls and emails Thursday
following the event. Many of the agents in attendance
that were not already part of Tahiti Tourisme's
Specialist Program, the Tahiti Tiare Program,
signed up on the spot. Some of the comments
included:
"Fabulous!
I can't wait for the upcoming May 12 Tahiti
Tourisme Workshop in Manhattan!" - Cindy
Brown, Travel Agent
"Great
seminar! The best I've ever attended - looking
forward to learning more in Terrytown."
- Mary Bones, Travel Agent
"Very
impressive!" - Stephen Winter, Accor Hotels
"I
was at the wonderful tradeshow this past Wednesday
morning and I was lucky enough to fly on Air
Tahiti Nui for an entertaining lunch. I am very
excited about the new nonstop service from JFK
and am already telling my clients about it.
Thank you so much for allowing me to be a part
of this wonderful event!"
- Susan Franklino, Travel Agent
Tahiti
Tourisme would like to send a special thanks
to our Industry Partners for their contributions
in making this a successful event.
