Pleasant Holidays And The Travel
Institute Partnership |
Pleasant Holidays’
Internet Training Program for PleasantAgent.com
was recently approved by The Travel Institute
to provide up to two (2) Continuing Education
Units (CEUs) to Certified Travel Industry Executives
(CTIEs), Certified Travel Counselors (CTCs),
and Certified Travel Associates (CTAs) who complete
the course. Travel professionals who have earned
CTIE, CTC, and CTA certifications through The
Travel Institute are required to earn ten CEUs
annually to maintain their designations.
The accredited Pleasant Holidays program instructs
travel agents on uses of the Pleasant Holidays
exclusive travel agent Web site at PleasantAgent.com.
Agents will learn how to navigate the site to
improve their sales. Moreover, the course introduces
travel agents to destination content, downloadable
sales tools, and other information to help them
increase their effectiveness.
Todd Castor, Pleasant Holidays staff vice president
of e-commerce, says, “The course is unique
in its comprehensive approach to teaching travel
agents how to get the most out of online booking.
But, more than that, it helps users become more
comfortable with this important, electronic
vehicle to help them sell more efficiently and
more effectively. The Internet is the future
of travel.” The Pleasant Holidays program
is presented by John Godfrey, the company’s
Account Executive, E-Commerce. Pleasant Holidays
will begin posting training site locations and
course opportunities on PleasantAgent.com
within a few weeks. In the interim, interested
