plus over 50 South Pacific Suppliers/Operators!

Why should you participate as an Operator/Supplier at SPF40?

SPF40 provides the participating Operator/Suppliers with the opportunity to come into contact with every facet of the North American travel industry – Tour Operator frontline reservation agents, Product Buyers, and Retail Travel Agents!

Tour Operator Training Rotations The main focus of SPF40 is the Tour Operator Training Rotations. These sessions give the participating Operator/Suppliers the opportunity to train North American Tour Operators specializing in the South Pacific. The attendees are mostly frontline reservation sales agents, though many new staff members come for overall training as well as seasoned staff coming to learn what’s new. No matter what their experience, they all come to learn about your product from the best – YOU!

The training format is on a rotational basis. There will be tables situated around the room. At each table there will be a small group of Tour Operator staff. Each Operator/Supplier will have a “start table” where they will have approximately 9 minutes for their presentations. This format allows you to tailor your presentation to meet current marketing goals, as well as their level of knowledge on your product and destination. This format, though repetitive, gives an up close and personal training experience for both the Operator/Supplier and the Tour Operators.

Product Appointments
The Product Appointments have come about by the request of the Tour Operators and Operator/Suppliers. Being that many of the them will be coming from out of town and convening in one location it only makes sense for these two entities to have an environment where they are able to meet without having numerous appointments throughout the week and having to travel all over North America! Product Appointments are intended for business discussions and negotiations, not for product training!

Companies interested in participating in the Product Appointments are responsible for setting-up their own appointments. List of participating Suppliers/Operators and Tour Operators and their contact information will be posted on the web site.

Retail Travel Agent Training and Tradeshow
To address the needs of the other major segment in the travel industry, SPF40 will offer a Retail Travel Agent event that will include educational training sessions and will be followed by a 2-hour tabletop tradeshow where Retail Travel Agents and Travel Media will be invited to meet all the participating Suppliers/Operators, collect up to date information on the products, enjoy South Pacific entertainment, and enter to in prizes.

The NTO will host each of the training sessions and will determine the format and agenda. Participation in the Destination Training sessions is optional, therefore please contact your NTO to confirm participation.

Press Release for the SPF40 Media Kit
The National Tourism offices will be hosting a pre-event media luncheon to promote the conference, the participating destinations, and its Operator/Suppliers. The attending media will receive a media kit including press releases from our participating Operator/Suppliers. In addition, the media will be invited back to attend the SPF40 Tradeshow. This will give each operator/supplier the opportunity to reach various outlets of the local media. (Please note the Media Luncheon participation is limited to the National tourism offices.)
