SPF40 is the only South Pacific Event that gives your staff the opportunity to:

  • Gain in-depth information and training about EIGHT South Pacific destinations and over 50 Suppliers!
  • Gives you the opportunity to meet with various Operator/Suppliers all in ONE place
  • Offers you the opportunity to showcase your company as a South Pacific Wholesaler to the Retail Travel Agents interested in selling the South Pacific!

There are 3 components to SPF40 that apply to Tour Operators:

Tour Operator/Wholesaler Reservation Staff Training
The Tour Operator/Wholesaler Reservation Staff Training is the main focus of the SPF40 event where your staff will be given in-depth presentations by over 50 South Pacific Operator/Suppliers.Your staff will receive training from those who know the product best and their presentations will be customized to fit the individual knowledge levels of each staff member.

The format is on a rotational basis. Your staff will be seated at a table, while the Operator/Supplier rotate from table to table, doing short, but in-depth presentation. This format gives an up close and personal training experience to your staff and allows them to ask questions that are pertinent to their needs and your sales goals. Each table may have a different experience level and will allow the Operator/Supplier to tailor their presentation to each group’s specific training needs.

Product Appointments
The Product Appointments have come about by the request of the Tour Operators and Operator/Suppliers. Being that many of them will be coming from out of town and convening in one location it only makes sense for these two entities to have an environment where they are able to meet without having numerous appointments throughout the week! Participating Operator/Suppliers have been advised that the Product Appointments are intended for business discussions and negotiations, not for product training! Tour Operators are encouraged to send their Product Buyers and/or Managers for these meetings.

Companies interested in participating in the Product Appointments are responsible for setting-up their own appointments. List of participating Suppliers/Operators and Tour Operators and their contact information will be posted on the Participant's Bulletin Board.

Retail Travel Tradeshow (Optional and limited participation)

Participating Tour Operators will have the opportunity to participate in the Retail Travel Agent Tradeshow. Tradeshow participation is limited to 15 Tour Operators and is on a first come, first serve basis. Participation in the Tour Operator Rotations is required.

Particpation
Product appointments and tradeshow participation are part of the Tour Operator Rotation participation. Your company must be registered for the Tour Operator Training Rotations in order to participate in the Product Appointments and/or the Tradeshow as an exhibitor.
