| What
is the origin of SPF40?
SPF40 came about because many industry sources advised that a cost
effective, highly focused training event would be an excellent way
to showcase our diverse South Pacific destinations, the variety
of products, their exciting attractions and unique cultures. With
that, six National Tourism Offices jumped into action to culminate
their efforts to create SPF40, which has proven to be one of the
most successful and well-received events in the industry in recent
years. Over the last two years we have had the addition of two more
South Pacific destinations, as well as growing numbers of participants
and attendees. At the close of each year’s event, the committee
closely reviews the feedback received and from that the program
is adjusted to meet the needs of the market, as well as the needs
of our participating Suppliers. For 2007 we are looking forward
to another growth in both participants and attendees!
